Leather 1X had spent over a decade quietly serving leatherworkers, fashion designers, and manufacturers with premium lambskin and genuine leather hides - but their digital presence did not match the quality of their product. They needed an e-commerce platform that conveyed the craftsmanship, heritage, and "Crafted for Professionals" positioning while making it effortless for international customers to browse, configure color variants, and order Grade A leather hides.
Founded in 2011, Leather 1X had grown from a small operation focused on sourcing quality hides into a trusted supplier of premium leather materials for designers, artisans, and manufacturers around the world. Their reputation was built on decade-long relationships with skilled tanneries and a refusal to compromise on quality - every hide is hand-selected for grain, durability, and natural beauty. But their previous website did not communicate any of that story. Customers landed on a generic shop layout that gave no sense of the craftsmanship, the heritage, or the level of service Leather 1X provides to professional buyers.
The company also needed to support a multi-channel buyer - independent leatherworkers, fashion houses, upholstery shops, and wholesale boutiques - each with different expectations around browsing, ordering, and aftersales support. We designed and built a luxury e-commerce experience with a premium dark editorial aesthetic, refined cream-and-amber accent palette, and editorial product photography that lets the leather speak for itself. The store features multi-color product variants (Black, Red, Dark Green, Tobacco, Beige), an integrated "Boutiques" wholesale program, "Client Services" concierge module, and an "Appointments" booking system for professional clients. The site is PWA-enabled with an "Install our app" prompt for repeat buyers, has a small-batch production storyline on the About page, a 7-day return guarantee, and on-page SEO targeting "premium leather hides," "lambskin leather," and "genuine leather supplier" search intent.
